"We are the Ninjas and Witches and we couldn't be prouder. If you don't believe us, we'll shout a little louder"
Since the Ninja’s inaugural season in 2011 our fastpitch softball program based in West Windsor, NJ has grown to more than 140 families with 12 teams drawing players from throughout central New Jersey. Our Ninja teams typically play in “B” level tournaments. In 2016, the Ninjas partnered with the Witches Gold, an 18U gold level team based Bordentown, NJ-based that has a tremendous track record in helping girls get recruited to play college softball at Division I-III schools. This strategic partnership have benefited our strongest Ninja players by providing a path to play on “A” level teams with a focus on college recruiting and has helped the Witches Gold program by providing “feeder” teams.
As a non-profit organization, all player fees go back into the program. We also conduct fundraising activities at both the individual team level and as an organization in order to help offset the cost of equipment, tournaments and field improvements among other activities. The organization is led by its co-founder, Tom Musmanno, together with a board of trustees consisting of parents of current and former players. The organization’s players and their families volunteer time, supplies and other resources to local families in need as well as participate in charitable events, including tournaments that are run as fundraisers, as a way to give back. We are proud of the growth of the program and the numerous on-field successes these teams have had in winning numerous competitive tournaments. Just as importantly, the organization is proud of the tight-knit teams of girls that support each other on-and-off-the-field.
The Ninjas began with two teams in 2011 under the guidance of Tom Musmanno and Bill Kramer in order to provide an opportunity for girls to play softball at a more competitive level, while having fun. We now have Ninja teams at the 8U, 2- 10U, 2- 12U, and 1- 14U level. By engaging professional coaches with college level experience, the players learn first-hand the type of commitment, dedication and skills that are required to achieve success—both on and off the field. Teams are placed in the most competitive tournaments that the skill level of the particular team warrants. Ninja teams play in competitive local tournaments
The Witches were originally based out of Bordentown, New Jersey and have fielded college prep teams for over 20 years. For many years, the Witches 18U Gold team has been led by head coach Shawn Allen. Shawn has had a long history of helping girls achieve their goal of playing at the college level. In recent years the Witches have placed numerous players in top Division I, II and III programs, including Mississippi State (SEC), St. John’s (Big East) and UPenn (Ivy). For the 2019-2020 season the Witches 18U Gold and 18U Elite teams will continue to play in Showcase tournaments. Players on these teams generally have a desire to continue their softball career in college. The organziation will also field a 16U and 18U Witches team that will play in competitve tournaments. These teams will help girls get to the next level of competitve play with the potential of moving to an Elite or Gold team in future seasons.
